My experience swimming
Before we started swimming I needed to get some items before I could actually get into the pool. I had to buy a one piece swimsuit, goggles, a head cap, and baby powder. Even though I bought these items for swimming I can also use them in the future at other swimming event. Swimming in PE taught me to overcome my fears at one point or another.
When I first started swimming I was nervous even though I had already known how to swim. When I first touched the water it was super cold and I was uncomfortable. I got use to being in the water after constantly practicing on perfecting my swimming routines. When I started swimming to be determined in which level I would be in I thought I was swimming horribly. When I started swimming I was automatically put into the level 2 of swimming.
What we first practiced doing in the pool was breathing through our noses under water and then stream lining. This was my favorite type of swimming out of all the styles we did. In this swimming pose You put you hands on top of each other with your arms extended out with your fingers together. Then you push off of the wall and start swimming. You have to move your legs a certain way in order to swim correctly, you must move each of your legs like as if you are running but you can't bend your knees just keep them stiff and keep paddling.
After I mastered stream lining I moved on to Free Style. Free style is where you keep doing the same thing with your legs in Stream lining but Free style focuses more on your upper half. In Free Style you move both of your arms over your head and as you are doing so you blow air through your nose. When you run out of air you move your head too the side where half of your face is above water and then you can breath in more air and that repeats over until we get too the other side of the pool. For me it was difficult because I constantly breathed in water and choked. Finally after long amounts of practice I learned how to not breath in water. After doing Free Style good I was moved too level three. Level three was where you moved too the deep side of the pool and learned to do freestyle without your feet touching the bottom of the pool like in level 1 and 2.
Near the end of my swimming lessons I was taught how to dive. I never liked the idea of jumping in the pool alone and having to dive Head first made me uneasy. I was always afraid that I would never be able to swim myself back up. I tried building up the courage to Dive but i just couldn't. This swimming technique was the hardest thing to do out of all the swimming lessons I had done.
